This property had suffered from terrible previous detrimental attempts at restoration during the 70s, 80s & 90s. Thankfully the current owners identified what was needed and applied to the local authority planning / conservation department and received approval to restore the building to its original structure and fabric.
We have worked on the property for several seasons and have now restored a major section of the timber frame and wattle and daub infill panels, along with restoring later period brickwork, inclusive of the chimney stacks. Traditional lime render using traditional methods has been applied over the timber frame sections.
All of these restoration aspects having now been completed will ensure that this property will have longevity and the owners will enjoy the restored building with all of its characteristics and will also benefit from the increased value of their asset.
